"This place is miraculous! I have had numerous chronic pain issues for years and in just 4 sessions, only 1x per week, the pain in two major areas is gone! Make sure you do the exercises EVERY day because this is the secret, along with the AMAZINGLY well trained staff, and BELIEF you CAN release the pain!!"

"I don’t even know where to begin… the Physical therapists were amazing! All were very informative, knowledge, and brought different experiences to the table. The assistances were incredibly friendly and personable. And I couldn’t forget about the personnel at the front desk and the first group of people you see, greet you when you walk in. They see you ASAP and provide the best assistance to make sure you have everything squared away. It was honestly sad leaving."

"This review is a little late in coming, but I can't thank Desert Palms enough for helping me out. At the end of April, I was faced with hip and leg pain so bad that I could hardy walk and barely slept. Had seen urgent care and was on heavy anti-inflammatories and was not making much progress. Faced with having to drive to Colorado in a couple of weeks, I sought out physical therapy. Desert Palms was recommended by several neighbors. When I called they were booked out for two weeks. I told the receptionist, Marion, my plight, and told her I was willing to be on a cancelation list. Marion called back the next day and managed to find me 4 appointments with Brandon. When I started, I was still in a lot of pain, could not stand very long, and was having my wife drive me there. By my 3rd appointment, pain was dissipating, I was walking and sleeping better, and was driving again. Brandon diagnosed nerve issues related to L5/S1 spinal joints and treated me accordingly. Turns out he was correct, as my Colorado doctor confirmed when I saw him. I am continuing PT in Colorado as Brandon and my doctor recommended, and am close to 100% healed. I'm so grateful for Marion getting me in and for Brandon working to get me better."

"I had my Achilles tendon repaired in Jan and have been working with Marcus to get my strength back to become fully operational. I've been very pleased with the exercises he has me doing. "I had a full knee replacement and it wasn't typical so I'm glad I checked reviews before deciding on Desert Palms, so I'm returning the favor with my review. The staff are all welcoming. Olin and Brittney were always upbeat and ready to help cheer me on. I also saw Dan for therapy a few times and he was very good as well. Brandon was my therapist and he created a plan and helped me learn to balance, walk and function again. Therapy was trailered to my needs. He shared knowledge and gave me exercises I could do at home that I'm still using today. I can't say PT is fun, but he made the time more enjoyable with his caring personality and he always had a smile. It's hard going through a difficult time and a trusting a therapist is important part of recovery. When my therapy was complete I actually missed going in. I highly recommend Brandon and the team at Desert Palms. Last note occasionally there were puppies to distract me from the difficult sessions which helped a lot! More places should do this because a distraction to help push through is definitely needed at times. Everyone had a smile when the puppies showed up!"

"I wasn't sure if physical therapy would help my arthritic shoulder. But when an orthopedic surgeon suggested a scope or a shoulder replacement I suggested I try PT first. Tried Desert Palms on the recommendation of a friend, Glad I did. The strengthening and mobility exercises seem to be working, much less pain and I can lift my arm without supporting it. Patient therapist (Daniel) who understood my need to learn the what and why of each exercise. About 6 weeks into the therapy and will continue as we are seeing good results."

"I had a hip replacement and a total of 16 PT visits after the surgery. Michael , Olin, and Brittany guided me through my recovery. The front desk staff was detail-oriented and scheduled my visits with ease. They kindly handled all necessary administrative requirements for my insurance approvals. During my physical therapy, I never felt pushed to do any exercise. I wanted to get better. They are professionals, and know which exercises and stretches will give you back your mobility. The overall vibe throughout the studio is positive and encouraging. I trusted the process, and worked my home-assigned exercises (and will continue). I think that the Physical Therapist I was assigned to, Michael, is truly a good listener, and creates and adjusts a plan for your recovery. He is a true healer who has a lot of experience which translates to an innate knowledge about what each individual needs!"

"I am 81. I am pretty healthy. I swim 1/3 mile every morning. But I was inactive for 6 weeks and got several painful illnesses. So off to Desert Palms to loosen up those old joints. "I had two injuries. A broken hip and a broken elbow. The therapists at Desert Palm Physical Therapy at Rancho Vistoso are rehabilitating me better than I expected. Even my surgeon was elated to see the progress I have made with the expert help and guidance from my therapist Dan Norkiewicz. I am not done yet but I know that by the end of my therapy sessions I will walk without a cane. I am thankful to have found the right place and the right people to get me there."

"I was visiting the Oro Valley area for three weeks and set up my twice a week appointments from my home after finding this group on the internet. I had had carpal tunnel and trigger finger p/t previously for two weeks following surgery. Connie was now my therapist, and she exceeded my expectations. "Desert Palms Physical Therapy is a wonderful place. From the time I booked my first appointment I felt safe. Everyone wears a mask properly and they sanitize regularly. It’s also not crowded. It’s so important to feel safe in a place where you’re receiving therapy in the midst of a pandemic.. Allison and all the staff are incredibly kind, compassionate, helpful, and intuitive. I learn something new about my body and about new tools with each visit. The clinic is easy to access with ample parking. Allison gives me a customized prescription of exercises to do. Most if them can be emailed and then I can access the instructions which include videos and a tracker on an iPad app. I have found this to be really helpful in addition to the printouts."

"I am a 65 year old guy with a history of many injuries from an active sports lifestyle. I always managed to bounce back until a total hip replacement. I never felt my balance, strength, flexibility, and coordination recovered. Having been to PT many times and feeling like the therapist always tried their standard routines on me and not getting the results I wanted, I resisted trying again. My wife had gone to Desert Palms, was really pleased, and pushed me to go. So I scheduled a visit for an assessment with Marcus. What impressed me immediately was that he listened. Marcus really took his time, asked many questions, did a thorough exam, and rendered his opinion of what was going on. He is one of those guys that you can literally see the wheels turning as he analyzes your issues. Marcus recommended a few exercises to wake up certain muscles, reviewed them with me, and we scheduled more appointments. I am very motivated to recover, so faithfully worked out as he recommended. Within a few days I noticed improvement. I went back in the following week, got more exercises which I worked into my routine, and started really noticing changes. The next week brought more challenges, and things just got better and better. I am now a month in and have to say I haven't felt this good in years. I think Marcus is a PT that truly thinks outside the box. He is very adept at analyzing what is going on with his patient's body, coming up with targeted exercises to address the problem, adapting as things change, and guiding you back to health. I recommend Desert Palms and Marcus whole heartedly."

"In mid August I had a shoulder replacement.By coincidence a friend was having the same procedure one week after mine by the same surgeon. I had been to Desert Palms for successful therapy about 4 years ago and new that’s where I would be going to help my new shoulder recover. I just ran into her today she is still in a sling. I have had almost full use of my arm for at least a month. Desert Palms has a very welcoming vibe with very qualified therapists. They think out of the box to address your specific needs. "This is now my third time getting physical therapy from the folks at Desert Palms. The first time about six years ago, Marcus resolved my severe left hamstring and hip pain, allowing me to run pain free again until quite recently. The second time Marcus and Mike worked on my right shoulder and back pain, resolving the back pain and giving me maximum use of my shoulder, given the permanent damage to my joint and rotator cuff, and allowing me to avoid surgery. Now they are helping me overcome pain again in my left hip from a likely labral tear and eroded hip joint, allowing me to walk (my running days may be over--we shall see) long distances comfortably and again avoiding surgery. I contine to be impressed with Desert Palms: professional, competent, courteous, on time and I like them. I am very grateful to them and see no reason to go elsewhere."

"My primary physical therapist is Marcus Neal. He never ceased to amaze me with his ability to pull a different treatment modality or exercise plan out to tackle a presenting problem that was proving resistant to mainstream or basic physical therapy exercise treatment plans. Consistently following his instructions has made by body stronger, resulting in less painful flair ups. I am also grateful to Michael P. who evaluated and treated me when Marcus was unavailable. All the support staff were friendly and encouraging. I had received treatment at a different physical therapist for an earlier injury in the mid 1990’s. The evaluation and versatile treatment plan received at Desert Palms far exceeded my previous physical therapy experience. Although I am 20 years older now, I feel the current improvement in my body’s muscles is superior to what was the result of the previous physical therapy."

"I have been going to Desert Palms for a number of years...when I first visited I could not walk very far...really...but with a lot of hard work on my and their part I got back on my feet..walking and playing tennis....and working...I've had other injuries since then and they have always helped.....the latest was a hamstring injury and some lower back issues, this time is wasn't Bruce Franke but Marcus Neal who took care of me....I always highly recommend Desert Palms to my friends and of course, tennis players..b"
